Plot of Highschool of the Dead season 2
A tragic unforeseen incident brings the dead into the series as a result of its overall plot. There is an epidemic of a deadly disease spreading rapidly through Japan, resulting in an extremely high death rate for human beings, which are eventually brought back to life as living dead.
As the world is engulfed by zombies, Japan, eventually the entire universe, is ravaged by them. One student at Fujimi High School becomes infected with illness, and a swarm of zombie beasts begins to terrorize the school. Takashi Komura, one of the students there, finds himself forced to kill his friend who was infected and connected with the deceased. Takashi, devastated by the death of his best friend, pledges to protect Rei Miyamoto, his fiancee.
After much bloodshed and exertion, the two attempted to leave the school. When Takashi and Rei finally escape their school, they discover a civilization that has fallen victim to disease and undead attacks. The young people join forces with the elderly while saving the world from this frailty.
